Swiss safety campaign warns hikers are pressing on despite mountain fears

A Swiss Council for Accident Prevention survey finds that almost 70% of hikers have encountered frightening or insecure sections on mountain routes, yet more than two-thirds continued. Younger and less experienced walkers were particularly likely to underestimate risks such as falls, exposed paths and snow.
