Recent data reveals Switzerland's growing prominence in private aviation, accounting for nearly 5% of Europe's private jet emissions.

The surge in private jet traffic is particularly evident at key Swiss destinations like Engadine Airport, which serves the prestigious resorts of St. Moritz and Davos. The airport recorded an impressive 17,300 flight movements in 2023, with peak activity during January and February seeing 30-100 jets daily. Environmental concerns are mounting as Switzerland witnesses a 63% increase in private jet departures compared to 2021. Geneva Airport alone handles over 40 private jet flights daily, making it Europe's second-busiest private aviation hub after Nice.
