Marine protection target could take 265 years to reach, Greenpeace says

Greenpeace says only 3. 5% of the world’s oceans are currently fully or largely protected, putting the global target of protecting 30% by 2030 far out of reach. The Swiss-based organisation estimates that the target would take 265 years to achieve at the current pace.
